Vision Australia is a leading national provider of support services for people with blindness or low vision, working in partnership to support them to live the life they choose. We can support people located across the state through our office or in their own home.
We support people of all ages, life stages and circumstances, and tailor solutions for each person’s needs. Key areas in which we support people, include independence, employment, education and social inclusion.
Some of the services we offer include:
· occupational therapy to help you make the most of your remaining vision;
· orientation and mobility training to help you get around safely;
· orthoptic vision assessments, advice and support;
· assistive technology training and advice;
· specialist support and services for children aged 0-18;
· emotional support as you adjust to vision loss, along with support for families and carers;
· social support to connect you with other people living with vision loss and your community;
· advocacy support;
· a library with braille and audio products.
· we are a trusted provider of assistance dogs through Vision Australia Seeing Eye Dogs.
