Other support services

Every person has the right to access aged care support that meets their particular needs. There are certain groups of people that are considered 'special needs' groups when it comes to accessing care.

People with a Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) background can access supports that meet their specific language, cultural or spiritual needs.

Someone over the age of 65 years and living with disability may need specialist supports to continue to live well. Similarly veterans may have special requirements to care due to their wartime experience.

There may be additional programs or funding available to support the additional needs of these groups.
