Aged care advocates

If you're unsure what your rights are or find the whole process of navigating the aged care system and finding providers a daunting process on your own, then an aged care advocate may be able to help you.

They provide information about your rights and responsibilities in aged care, help you understand what different care options are available to you, give advice and assist you to make the most of your services.

If you have concerns about your provider or the services they deliver, an aged care advocate can support you to express your concerns and help to resolve any issues or disputes that may arise between you and your provider.

Their services are generally free if you are receiving Government funded aged care services, either at home or in an aged care facility.
