Vasey RSL Care Brighton East Welcomes You
‘Vasey RSL Care Brighton East’ is part of the Vasey RSL Care organisation and we have a proud history of supporting veterans and war widows, as well as the general public.
Purpose-built in 2011, our Brighton East home has beautiful outdoor courtyards, walking paths and a heritage-listed church in the grounds. Our residents' gardening group takes pride in making sure the courtyards look beautiful throughout the year.
Our residents share many traditional Australian values – sincerity, humour, mate-ship, perseverance, generosity, courage and a larrikin spirit – values bred through a lifetime of living and working in this great country.
Our staff offer person-centred care that respects and supports the wishes of the individual: we are here to help you maintain your health, happiness and well-being: we believe in discovering what matters to you and what makes you unique.
About Vasey RSL Care
Vasey RSL Care is a not-for-profit organisation with five residential aged care homes. Our organisation is large enough to have economies of scale (such as centralised administration), but small enough to retain a personal touch and stay close to everyone in our community.
Our organisation was founded to support veterans from World War I and war widows from World War II. These beginnings have influenced every aspect of our organisation and continue to do so. Around two thirds of our residents have a background with the Australian Defence Forces, or are the widows of ex-service personnel (sometimes both).
The other third of our residents are from the general public.

Every Vasey RSL Care Home is Unique
Vasey RSL Brighton East has all the things you’d expect in your home – good home-made food, regular cleaning, laundry service, health services, and plenty to keep you busy with an extensive lifestyle and leisure program.
Our community has valued links to the local RSL and to St Leonard’s College, Caulfield Grammar School, Firbank Grammar School, De La Salle and St Kevin’s College.
And as well as having people come to us, we get out and about using our own bus, visiting local cafes and the RSL for lunch, and further afield, with visits to the Shrine of Remembrance, the Victorian Police Horse Stables, Werribee Mansion and Dame Elisabeth Murdoch’s Gardens at Cruden Farm, as examples of typical outings.
In all we do, we aim for excellence in aged care.
