St Basil's In Home Respite Services

At St Basil’s WA, we understand the vital role that carers play - and the importance of taking time to rest, recharge, and care for your own wellbeing. Our In-Home Respite service offers peace of mind by providing reliable, personalised care to your loved one while you take a well-deserved break.

A trained and compassionate Support Worker will visit your home to provide companionship and care, giving you the freedom to step out or simply relax while remaining nearby. Whether for a few hours or a regular schedule, our in-home respite is designed around your family’s needs.

What We Offer

During each visit, our Support Worker will ensure your loved one is safe, supported, and engaged. Services are tailored and may include:

• Personal care

• Medication prompts

• Social interaction and companionship

• Recreational activities

• Light assistance around the home

We aim to provide not just care - but connection, dignity, and comfort.

Eligibility

This service is available to people living in the North, East, and South East metropolitan regions of Perth.

To be eligible, the person receiving care must have a primary carer.

Referrals

To access this service, please contact My Aged Care on 1800 200 422 and request a referral for St Basil’s WA Flexible Respite.

We accept clients through a range of funding options including:

• Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP)

• Support at Home (from November 2025)

• Fee for Service (Private Clients or Home Care Package holders)

Service Fees

Fees vary depending on funding arrangements. As a guide our in-home respite is offered during weekday hours at a cost of $12.50 per hour.
