Cathy and Steve are locals with a passion to simply help people in their community.

After a short stint living in Melton and Melbourne, Steve returned to Ballarat where he was born and raised, and attended Mount Clear High School. Cathy spent her earlier years in Adelaide working for the University of South Australia in the Nursing Department, before moving to Ballarat with husband Steve.

“We provide care services to a large area so being local is a huge advantage. We know the area extremely well, so if you are concerned about living a long way out of town, in the bush, or down a dirt road, don’t worry, we will find you and we can help. If you are seeking trusted care for your loved ones, put the kettle on and they will be there!”

Simply Helping Central Highlands and Djerriwarrh was established over 10 years ago. In July 2018, Steve and Cathy came along and injected a new lease of life into the business. With a passionate approach, they developed a well-founded philosophy based on personal experience.

“With elderly parents requiring care on both sides of the family, we were unable to source a level of care that we were completely comfortable with. From our firsthand experience, it became obvious that there was a strong need in the community to provide aged and disability care services with genuine compassion.”

Our Team

With many years of combined experience, our team are fully trained and qualified to provide a broad range of in-home care services. From the smallest task to the most complex responsibility, our team members are kind, respectful and love engaging with people.

Once we meet and learn about your needs, we can assign the most suitable member of our team to support you or your loved one. Compatibility with your carer is vital for building a trusted relationship, which creates a solid foundation for a successful in-home care experience.

It’s not uncommon for elderly people or people with disabilities to feel lonely, so our team believe in strong connections. We understand that a friendly chat over a cup of tea, or some company at the supermarket can be as important as a clean living environment. Empathy is a quality that seems to come naturally with our team members.
