Elizabeth Jenkins Place Aged Care Centre offers a broad range of aged care services, including permanent care, respite (short-term) care, palliative care and dementia care. An experienced and compassionate care team will create a personalised care plan in close consultation with you to understand your needs and preferences.The Centre incorporates the most up-to-date design principles in aged care, with your comfort in mind. Located in picturesque Collaroy, the Centre's design is reminiscent of an Australian home. It is made up of seven separate and interconnected houses, each containing a kitchen, dining room and lounge room. All houses have direct streetscape access, spacious light-filled rooms and large windows. There is also the added peace of mind of friendly nurses and carers at any time and an emergency call bell system in all rooms. Beautiful landscaped gardens throughout the Centre and plenty of outdoor common areas provide the perfect places for you to do some activities, spend time with family and friends or relax and enjoy some solitude. All meals are prepared onsite using fresh produce by an experienced catering team. Each menu is developed in regular discussion with a dietitian and the older people receiving care at the Centre.

Cooinda has been an important community asset for Lithgow since 1968. The home has seen various additions and upgrades over the past 50 years and the recent addition of a brand new 36 bed wing signals the exciting next stage of development for Cooinda.Overview
Cooinda opened its doors in 1968 as a 25 bed hostel called Cooinda Aged People’s Homes. Nearby Tanderra was officially opened in March 1991 and the 40 bed facility was soon at capacity. Eight beds were added in 2001 bringing the total to 48 care beds.
Cooinda underwent a major re-fit in 2004 adding ensuites to all rooms and two new wings of 12 beds each. In 2019 building began on Stage 1 of the new development with the new lodge to accommodate 36 new ensuite rooms with state of the art facilities.

Team Structure
Our team consists of clinical staff and specialists, including registered nurses and personal care assistants available on-call, 24-hours a day. A leisure and lifestyle officer arranges activities and therapy. Team members are passionate, caring and friendly and go above and beyond to build a genuine rapport with residents and their family members.
