Our Hunters Hill campus is situated within 9 acres of tranquil, leafy gardens rich with bird life. We offer exceptional levels of care designed in a neighbourhood model to support 333 residents.
Hunters Hill comprises of:
116 low level rooms - Hostel rooms are typically Standard or Deluxe, with a small number of double rooms also available. All have en-suites, furnished with built-in cupboards, wardrobe, small fridge and individually controlled air conditioning. There are no kitchen facilities in the Hostel rooms. All meals are served in the dining room with additional options available at our café.
45 bed high level dementia unit (Nerichow) - The Nerichow Special Care Unit is home to residents with dementia or other cognitive impairment. Accommodation is provided in classic single rooms with ensuite bathrooms. This section of the Home has its own dining rooms, lounges and garden areas, which are specifically designed to be cosy and home-like to help facilitate a sense of neighbourhood familiarity and security for our residents.
22 bed low level dementia unit (Monte Gardens) - A secure bed unit catering for residents with early stage dementia.
150 high level rooms, across 2 levels - caters for the physically dependent or frail aged residents who have higher care needs and who require higher levels of nursing care. Nearly all rooms are classic single, furnished with built-in wardrobes & their own ensuite bathroom.
Our Hunters Hill campus has six activity/recreation rooms where residents enjoy regular arts and crafts sessions, pottery, beading and a host of other activities. The Home also has a therapy kitchen, a sewing room and a card room, as well as a well stocked library providing a range of large and standard print books, Judaica and talking books.
Café Ruben serves light kosher meals and a range of refreshments. The café has WiFi and is a friendly and social meeting place for residents, staff and visitors. Alongside the café is a well stocked boutique, hair salon and computer room.
Residents are encouraged to enjoy the Home’s tranquil gardens with a historic fountain, lemon grove and rose gardens. The gardens are home to a pond of Koi fish, as well as families of ducks, rabbits and a rich variety of birds. Buses/people-movers are regularly scheduled to transport residents on group social or shopping outings.
A proud record of spiritual wellbeing - Services are conducted in the Cyril Rosenbaum Synagogue at the Home every Shabbat and on all festivals. Well attended Shule services are held every Friday evening, Saturday mornings and on all festivals. Morning services are followed by a Kiddush.
