MercyCare strives to make our facilities feel as close as possible to a regular home. MercyCare Kelmscott, located 23 kilometres from Perth, is welcoming and comfortable for both residents and visitors. MercyCare employees provide a happy, vibrant atmosphere and cultivate a community spirit.
Our 45 bed aged care facility is nestled next to the greenery of a sprawling parkland, overlooking the hills to the East with panoramic views of the Canning River nearby. It is conveniently situated close to the Kelmscott township which offers a large selection of restaurants, cafeterias and specialty stores.
Inside our MercyCare village, we offer gardens and shaded courtyards where residents can relax or enjoy a quiet stroll. All manner of activities take place in our large living room ranging from shared life skills to craft work and proudly displayed accomplishments. The aroma of home-baked cakes signals afternoon tea in the TV lounge which is always a welcome temptation. Our onsite catering team serve up an array of nutritious, home-style meals, six times a day.
Our Kelmscott facility offers generously sized, single bedrooms rooms (averaging 10 to 13 sqm) with their own private ensuite bathroom. Each room has a built-in wardrobe, over bed table, specialised electric care bed, reverse cycle air conditioning/heating to ensure year round comfort, a centrally monitored response system and a wall mounted flat screen TV.
A wide variety of leisure activities are offered to cater for individual interests and tastes. Wi-fi is available in the lounge area.
In addition to providing a home-away-from-home, MercyCare Kelmscott offers the following services at no extra cost: occupational therapy, physical therapy, hand and body massage, aromatherapy.
A dining room is available for private bookings to celebrate special occasions. Optional extras, which are not included in the accommodation rate for the room, include hairdressing, a tagging service for electrical appliances and a daily or weekly newspaper.
