Mary MacKillop Care is a not-for-profit organisation offering aged care, community care and disability services. All Mary MacKillop Care sites are owned by the Sisters of St Joseph, an Order which has been assisting the elderly, frail, marginalised and disabled within the South Australian Community since 1866.
St Catherine’s Home is located in the picturesque Riverland region in the heart of Berri.
Our services include low and high level care with a secure memory support unit. Twenty four hour nursing care is provided with Allied Health Services provided in the Nursing Home and Hostel.
Accommodation at St Catherine’s is a mix of single rooms with ensuite and single and double rooms with shared bathroom. Rooms are furnished with standard furniture, allowing residents to add their own possessions to help provide a sense of ownership and belonging.
Regular physiotherapy and podiatry services are available to all residents. Speech pathology, Dietitians & palliative care services can be arranged as required. St Catherine’s Home also offers Telehealth (via broadband) to residents allowing access them to specialists across Australia without leaving their home.
Residents are encouraged to participate in a diverse range of social activities, programs and outings designed to keep mind and body active. Residents can also enjoy the services of an on-site hairdresser or visit the relaxing Retreat Room where art therapy, massage and aromatherapy sessions are available. St Catherine’s Home has its own on-site chapel for quiet prayer time or attending a weekly service.
Pastoral Care at St Catherine’s is based on respect and compassion for the individual and is also available to provide support to families in times of grief and loss.
Our dedicated staff provides a high standard of holistic and individualised care to our residents in a warm and homely atmosphere.
Visiting hours are unlimited and visitors are welcomed for meals, outings, activities and special events.
