- Commonwealth Home Support Program - Respite
Respite programs assist carers who are supporting dependent seniors to enable them to continue living at home. Seniors may access day programs and pursue their favourite activities, interests and friendships in a safe, supported and friendly environment, while carers gain peace of mind and enjoy planned breaks.
The Commonwealth Home Support Program (Respite) assists carers of seniors requiring high levels of support and who may have a diagnosis of dementia. It provides up to four hours a week of in-home respite care to enable carers to have a well-deserved break, as well as a day program twice a week.
The Alan Rabinov Program
The Alan Rabinov Program operates several days a week at the Active Living Centre and offers day programs to meet the needs of people living in the community who are older and at risk of social isolation. It runs both English and Russian speaking programs with a focus on social connections and promotion of independence.
The Alan Rabinov Program receives funding from the Victorian and Commonwealth Governments under the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP).
