Respite Programs - Centre-Based and In-Home
Respite programs assist carers who are supporting dependent seniors to enable them to continue living at home. Seniors may access centre-based day respite programs to pursue their favourite activities, interests and friendships in a safe, supported and friendly environment, while carers gain peace of mind and enjoy planned breaks.
The Commonwealth Home Support Program (Respite) assists carers of seniors requiring high levels of support and care. This program provides up to four hours a week of in-home respite care to enable carers to have a well-deserved break.
Social Support Programs
These programs operate five days a week at the Active Living Centre and offers day programs to meet the needs of people living in the community who are older and at risk of social isolation. It includes culturally diverse speaking programs, such as Russian, Hungarian and English, with a focus on social connections and promotion of independence.
Cost of Service
Session fees apply and vary depending on services selected. Outings to external venues may incur additional costs.
