About

Harold Hawthorne Community Centre (The Centre) has been an integral part of and supporter of the local community since 1968. As a non-for profit organisation, located in Carlisle, The Centre connects people through services, programs, activities and events that enrich their overall wellbeing and provide opportunities for them to become active members of a thriving community.

The Centre offers an extensive range of home support services to enable seniors to be socially connected and independent in achieving their goals and remain living independently in their own homes.  We place the service user at the center of all our programs, activities and initiatives.

These services include:

  • meals, including Meals on Wheels (fresh meals delivered to the persons home), meals prepared in the home and accessing meals at Harry’s Diner (meals at centre)
  • personal care
  • domestic assistance
