Overlooking the majestic valleys of Gilead, Estia Health Kilbride (formerly known as Kilbride Nursing Home) was originally built in 1869 to accommodate the local water engineer, hence the name Kilbride which means "running water".
From impressive award winning architecture and attractive courtyard gardens to cosy lounge areas and magnificent views, Estia Health Kilbride reflects the style and comfort that is offered to all our residents.
Set in a quiet street with views of the mountains, the home is a short drive to the Rosemeadow shopping area. Friendly multicultural staff, an engaging lifestyle program and strong connections to the local community make this a welcoming and pleasant place to be.
With outlooks across rolling hills and spectacular views of Gilead, Estia Health Kilbride combines the benefits of a rural landscape with the convenience of an urban setting. Spacious and light filled lounges are complemented by stylishly neutral décor and contemporary furnishings. A library and quiet room are separate spaces with tea and coffee making facilities are available, and a giant outdoor chess set provides a popular focus for games and a chat. Residents can enjoy growing herbs and vegetables in the raised garden beds and pampering in our salon that hosts weekly visits from a hairdresser.
Well balanced and nutritious meals are freshly prepared and cooked on site under the supervision of our professional Chefs. A wide variety of health and wellbeing programs, designed by qualified coordinators, are tailored to each resident's personal needs. Allied health professionals such as Physiotherapists and Podiatrists are part of our support team, and hairdressers are on site as required. Pastoral care is also available. Importantly, we offer exceptional levels of care and service. Our staff are on call 24-hours a day to help out where required or just to share a quiet chat.
Two large communal lounge rooms, which are the focus for daily activities and relaxation, feature televisions, a central gas log fireplace and stunning views. A smaller, cosy lounge, also with a television, offers an alternative place to rest. Two spacious, bright dining rooms provide venues for companionship over meals, while a large dining and activities area is the venue for entertainment, gatherings and celebrations. Landscaped outdoor areas feature beautiful native plants and mature trees, with walking paths that promote gentle exercise. Shaded courtyards, one with a retractable roof, allow residents and visitors to relax and enjoy the outdoors.
