On the hillside overlooking the Gold Coast hinterland, Churches of Christ in Queensland Homesteads Aged Care Service Nerang gives the feeling of country living, but with all the modern conveniences. Homesteads is set among beautiful grounds and gardens on the Paradise Country tourist farm site, close to the heart of Nerang. This high and low care facility provides in-house caring for people who are elderly and/or have a disability.
Forty one residents with high and low level care needs enjoy living in the four ‘house model’ homes at Homesteads. The homes are tastefully furnished with comfortable lounges in the family and dining areas. Residents’ bedrooms are left to be furnished by the resident themselves if they wish. However, all rooms have their own ensuite, wall heater, ceiling fan and an emergency call system. Plugs are provided for small appliances, telephones and UHF television aerials.
The staff at Churches of Christ in Queensland Homesteads Aged Care Service have a strong commitment not only to provide physical care, but to also enrich the lives of residents. Social, emotional and spiritual needs are met wherever possible. The following facilities and services are available:
