Aegis Carrington
Overview
Carrington is central to the residential area of Hamilton Hill, just south of Fremantle.
The aged care facility replaced a former nursing home that had been serving the area since 1973. The facility was recently renovated and extended with an emphasis on providing stimulating lifestyle options and now offers a leading memory support unit.
The site has modern Mediterranean style architecture, including an al-fresco dining area, numerous courtyards and intimate internal and external sitting areas. The facility has its own special character, with connecting walkways to function as one community providing residential care.
An outstanding characteristic is the elevated suites that overlook Carrington Street, which in turn has provided abundant and secure undercroft car parking.
