Who is WA’s most outstanding’ senior?
Western Australia aged care provider, Juniper, is urging the community to nominate individuals and organisations for the WA Seniors Awards 2014.
This is the second year Juniper has supported the awards, sponsoring the Juniper 2014 WA Seniors Champion Award, which recognises an outstanding senior for their commitment to Western Australian communities.
Bill McDonald, assistant chief executive, said Juniper was proud to partner with the Department of Local Government and Communities and the Council on the Ageing (COTA) to recognise high achievement among seniors.
“This is the premier award for a senior who demonstrates outstanding service, commitment or achievement,” he said.
Juniper operates 23 residential aged care facilities and 14 retirement villages in metropolitan and regional areas across Western Australia with Juniper Community Care providing services to more than 1,800 people in their own home.
“We are keen to again see a high calibre of submissions and strongly encourage members of the community to send in their award nominations before the closing date of 29 August 2014,” Mr McDonald said.
The awards also celebrate the beginning of Seniors Week which runs from 9 November to 16 November.
