Home care service boost for Busselton

A fundamental home care service is enabling older people in Western Australia’s suburb of Busselton and surrounds to maintain their independence and quality of life.

Operated by Juniper, one of the state's providers of aged care and community services, its home and community care (HACC) service can be an affordable way to access domestic assistance, personal care and social support services.

“Our personalised HACC program brings compassion and respect to older people who require assistance to live safely in their own home,” says Daymon Joseph, Juniper community executive manager.

“Juniper places great importance on maintaining personal dignity, independence and quality of life,” Ms Joseph says.

You may be eligible for Juniper’s HACC services if you are, or care for, someone who is older, disabled or frail and has difficulty with everyday tasks.

Juniper’s Busselton based team can provide the following services:

  • domestic support including everyday household tasks as well as assistance with essential activities outside the home such as bill paying, banking and shopping;
  • personal care including help with showering, toileting, grooming and medication prompts; and
  • social support to help individuals engage in social activities and participate in the community.

Interested people are encouraged to discuss their eligibility, requirements and fee contribution during a friendly and confidential assessment.
The HACC program is jointly funded by state and commonwealth governments.

For more information about Juniper’s HACC services in Busselton, contact Nicky Dobrich from Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm, on 0402 961 403, visit www.juniper.org.au or email HACC@juniper.org.au.
