St John Ambulance has developed a new and affordable non-emergency transportation service for patients in Western Australia

Recognising this, St John Ambulance has developed a comfortable, new and affordable non-emergency transportation service for patients in Western Australia.

Launched in July 2015, the convenient new service operates in the metro area only between 7am and 6pm. It is run by friendly and experienced St John volunteers, with advanced first aid training.

Offering patients a range of tailored transport options to meet varied needs, the service is perfect for individuals living at home or those residing in care facilities. The service can also be added to any existing Consumer Directed Care Package.

Reliable, safe and most importantly local, the new transport service has been warmly welcomed by patients and care providers alike. To date, St John has provided transport to more than 570 jobs across Western Australia.

Rosalie Mumby, a regular client of the new non-urgent transport service, says the service is outstanding.

“We have been in need of the service many times and have always been treated with respect, kindness and professionalism,” she says.

She especially enjoys using the sedan car option, as well as the companion service when requiring additional support.

“The staff and volunteers from St John are worth their weight in gold,” Ms Mumby says.

St John Ambulance’s new non-emergency transport service is another fine example of the organisation’s commitment to supporting the local community.
