Send a message to a resident

Keeping in touch with family and friends is an important part of maintaining a positive mental state, and it becomes even more so as we get older.

McKenzie Aged Care Group places great importance on helping residents maintain an active social life with many opportunities for families to get involved in regular events.

Group director, Sally McKenzie, says geographical distance and busy lifestyles can sometimes make staying connected a challenge for some family members.

“With this in mind McKenzie Aged Care Group has developed a message sharing service to help residents stay connected with their loved ones,” she said.

“Our residents love receiving messages from their sons, daughters and grandchildren and this email facility makes staying in touch easy.”

The message service is being used to deliver lengthy letters, reminders about visits and birthdays and stories written by grandchildren.

The ‘Message a Resident’ program is just one of the many options available to make residents at all McKenzie Aged Care facilities feel comfortable and at home.
