A luxury South Australian residential care home has been awarded the Seniors Living Award at the Urban Development Institute Awards for Excellence.
Southern Cross Care’s Oaklands Park Lodge took home the award, making it the second award for the supported living care home after already winning the South Australian Internal Fit Out of the Year by Australian Shop and Office Fitting Industry Association.
The state award recognises the seamless integration of the Oaklands Park community, which includes a 70 bed supported living care home Oaklands Park Lodge and 21 independent living villas.
The Southern Cross Care residential care home features spacious bedrooms, beautiful surrounds and is rated five stars for its functionality.
“This significant achievement is a credit to all our staff, partners and suppliers who have delivered a quality development whilst focusing on the personal needs of people we care for so that they can enjoy the best possible lives,” Southern Cross Care chief executive, Andrew Larpent, said.
“It doesn’t stop there,” he added. “Southern Cross Care continues to invest in the future care of South Australians and Northern Territorians with developments in progress in Gawler and Darwin.”
The team also recently received development approval for a new care home, therapy lifestyle centre and villas in the east of Adelaide.
