The South Australian based provider is the first in Australia to become a major sponsor of an NBL team, after their initial sponsorship was signed last season.

As well as re-signing for the 2017/18 season as a major sponsor, Ananda has also signed on as a player sponsor for US import Ramone Moore and will host the Ananda Generation Game on Saturday 14 October.

Ananda residents and staff will also benefit from the sponsorship with residents to host regular visits from the 36ers players throughout the season, as well as attend training sessions and cheer on the team at home games with family and friends.

Staff from Ananda will also take part in professional development motivational opportunities with 36ers coach Joey Wright.

Directors of Ananda Aged Care, Preeya Adams and Pooja Newman say the partnership reinforces the facility’s strong family values, high professional standards and intergenerational approach to aged care.

“Sport is an important part of many of our residents’ lives and brings families together in a positive way,” they say.

“We look forward to involving our residents, their families, staff and the wider community in a range of activities to cheer on the Adelaide 36ers this season.”

Adelaide 36ers Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Guy Hedderwich says the team is excited about the first-of-its-kind partnership.

“We are thrilled to continue our partnership with Ananda,” he says.

“Family is a very important part of our club and it’s fantastic to work with an organisation that shares those same core values and beliefs.

“It is a partnership we value greatly and I would like to thank Ananda for their continued support and look forward to our partnership continuing to flourish.”

The signing of the 2017/18 sponsorship was held on 13 September with Ananda Aged Care residents and 36ers players present
