Lifeview lights the way for Excellence

One Victorian based aged care provider has come out on top not once, but twice over the past week after being announced as the winners of two prestigious categories at the recent Australian General Practice Accreditation Limited (AGPAL) and Quality Innovation Performance Limited (QIP) 2018 Excellence Awards.

Lifeview Residential Care (Lifeview) took home the QIP Chair Diversity Award and was the Highly Commended recipient of the QIP Chair Community Organisation of the Year Award, which acknowledge accredited practices, organisations or services, which constantly go above and beyond to implement and embed quality improvements.

QIP Chief Executive Dr Stephen Clark says the awards recognise Lifeview for their Rainbow Tick accreditation and commitment that the aged care provider makes to quality improvement within the health care setting.

“The QIP Awards recognise and reward commitment that Lifeview Residential Care makes to quality improvement within Australia’s health care setting,” he says.

“I was proud that I, and our judging panel of industry experts, was able to read about Lifeview’s nomination.

“Their dedication to their community and the local community goes above and beyond expected standards.

“I congratulate Lifeview for being the 2018 Excellence Winner of the QIP Chair Diversity Award and Highly Commended for the QIP Chair Community Organisation of the Year Award.”

Dr Clark also thanked all other award nominees for sharing their stories.

Lifeview Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Madeline Gall says the aged care provider has implemented a number of special groups to engage with community members and consumers to ensure they receive the best support possible in a non-judgemental, safe and supportive environment.

“We are honoured to have been recognised by the AGPAL and QIP Chair and judging panel for the work we are doing in ensuring inclusive care without fear or prejudice,” she says.

“Gaining Rainbow Tick accreditation with QIP and making the finals of these awards, is entirely due to the dedication and commitment of staff throughout the organisation.

“I would like to congratulate all our staff, residents and extended family on these achievements, without their engagement and support, this success would not be possible.”

Winners were announced across six award categories with other winners including: QScan Radiology, Queensland, Torres and Cape Hospital Health Service, Queensland, Drug and Alcohol Services Australia (SA), South Australia, and Family Access Network, Victoria.
