Get some oxygen into you!

Some spend hundreds and thousands of dollars on anti-ageing tricks, while in truth, the only thing you may need is some O2. Some spend hundreds and thousands of dollars on anti-ageing tricks, while in truth, the only thing you may need is some O2.

Simon Cowell, the outspoken English television personality, best known for his stint on American Idol, reportedly inhales cans of oxygen, which has been described as an unusual anti-ageing weapon in his quest for youth.

The 52-year-old, who has previously admitted to having Botox, reportedly carries a small bottle of the gas with him wherever he goes.

The anti-ageing effects of inhaling pure oxygen may help to reduce tiredness, stress and the skin-ageing process.

In his mission to keep the wrinkles at bay, he also exercises regularly, takes vitamins, has up to three baths daily and drinks anti-ageing smoothies he discovered in Miami while working on the American version of The X Factor.

He insists on a fresh helping each day of the juice which contains lingonberries, acerola berries and chokeberries.

Mr Cowell has now added inhaling pure oxygen to his regime as he tours the country for the show.

While Mr Cowell may be convinced of oxygen’s benefits, scientists are not. They claim it does very little as our blood is already saturated with 99% oxygen and any effect can wear off within minutes.
