Bupa marks construction of new facility
With shiny shovel in hand, Queensland’s Toowoomba Mayor Paul Antonio will turn the first sod at 280 McKensie Street today, marking the commencement of construction for the new Bupa Rangeville residential aged care facility.
The 108 bed aged care home, offering low, high and dementia care will open in mid 2016.
Bupa Rangeville will be purpose built to support the increasingly complex needs of older people in the community. Bupa’s Person First approach brings into focus the needs of every resident, their preferences and personal history rather than structuring care around a particular diagnosis.
Bupa’s staff are committed to making a positive difference in the lives of residents each day. Every Bupa home offers 24 hour nursing care, supported by a team of personal carers.
Bupa Rangeville will also have an in house GP to provide personalised medical care to residents.
The home will be surrounded by beautiful landscaped gardens and walking paths. Indoors, the home will provide both cosy spaces and larger areas to enjoy group activities.
The residential bedroom wings will overlook gardens and large courtyards giving rooms a strong visual connection with the outdoors.
Bupa is Australia’s a private aged care provider with 64 homes. Bupa already has two homes in Toowoomba. Elsewhere in Queensland, Bupa recently opened new homes on the Gold Coast at Tugun and Runaway Bay, and has established homes in Cairns and New Farm.
