Grab your running shoes, lace up and join the Alzheimer’s Australia WA Memory Walk 2012 in support of the 25,000 people in the state living with dementia. Join walkers, runners and joggers of all ages for a ‘walk to remember’ this Sunday at Edinburgh Oval, Curtin University.

Join walkers, runners and joggers of all ages for a ‘walk to remember’ this Sunday at Edinburgh Oval, Curtin University.
Things to do at the 2012 Memory Walk:
- Meet others touched by dementia. Remember: you are not alone in your journey.
- Learn about the education and support services Alzheimer’s Australia WA provides.
- Enjoy the competitions and stand to win fantastic prizes, while enjoying the live music and entertainment.
- Pick a theme and dress for the Walk! Best dressed wins a prize!
- Bring a picnic or buy your lunch at the event.
- Pre-registered, well socialised dogs are welcome to attend. Remember to register your furry friend and get a doggie gift bag on the day.
West Coast Eagles legend, Glen Jakovich, will be leading the charge against dementia by spearheading the memory walk.
The dual premiership player and sports commentator, whose mother died of dementia two years ago, said it was time to act against dementia – the third leading cause of death in Australia. Read Mr Jackvoich’s story here.
