The partnership between the providers of retirement living and government-funded home care services means that more services are available to their respective retirees – including rehabilitation and physical therapy, respite care (day and overnight), home and garden maintenance, transport to appointments and social events, accompanied and assisted shopping or bill paying and in-home nursing.

PresCare Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Greg Skelton says the strategic partnership with GemLife will enable residents to access related products and services through PresCare’s commercial arm, including an extensive range of mobility and everyday living aids to nutritionally balanced home-style meals delivered to their door.

“The baby boomer generation has different needs and expectations to their parents when it comes to living well in later years,” Mr Skelton says.

“PresCare is committed to meeting these needs through our comprehensive one-stop-shop for services that are designed to support older people to continue to live well into their later years.

“People want to maintain their independence by continuing to live in their own home for as long as possible and living life the way they choose – with the same amount of control and independence that they have always had.”

GemLife Director and CEO Adrian Puljich says the family business focuses on actively promoting an ageing-in-place strategy that was well received by its residents.

“We want to keep our residents in their homes for longer, without having to worry about the next stage of care,” Mr Puljich says.

“This extensive partnership with PresCare helps our residents to receive peace of mind about the future.”
