Silver Chain’s advanced health and aged care call service

Federal Minister for Ageing Justine Elliot has congratulated Silver Chain Nursing Association, a WA health and community services provider, on its advanced health call service and aged care services.

Mrs Elliot, who was visiting the customer operations centre in Osborne Park, said the call service was at the forefront of technology – handling 1.6 million calls a year.

“Silver Chain Nursing Association is one of the largest providers of community, residential and health services in WA – assisting over 39,000 people each year.”

Mrs Elliot said the new state of the art Customer Operations Centre operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week – supporting over 80 health service programs in metropolitan and remote areas.

“The customer operations centre carries out more than 1.6 million customer activities, provides for 80,000 customers and services 40 locations across Western Australia.

“Utilising the latest technology, more than 130 staff are able to undertake calls, screenings, referrals, data management and electronic record keeping from one central location.

“This means staff can focus on providing the best services – with tens of thousands of West Australians getting better faster solutions to their health and care needs,” Mrs Elliot said.
