Qld report on economic value of volunteering

A report on ‘The Economic Value of Volunteering Queensland’ has been released by the Qld Department of Communities. It was produced by Associate Professor Dr Duncan Ironmonger from the University of Melbourne.

The report valued the efforts of volunteering in Queensland in 2004 as more than $16 billion, which equated to an additional 387,000 jobs throughout the state. The report can be obtained by contacting the Department of Communities on 13 13 04.
