Older workers more satisfied

Working beyond the traditional retirement age of 65 is associated with being highly satisfied with life, according to a pioneering study by Beaton Consulting – an Australian firm specializing in consultancy work with professional associations.

Beaton has released the report which shows that 29% of the older age group across the professions have a higher level of life satisfaction than the average. Along with government and NGO workers they approach happiness through meaning: living in accordance with one’s values, striving to develop and apply those things at which one is best for the welfare of others, encapsulated in“be all that you can be” and “make a difference’.
