Jess has volunteered to do the coffee run, charging her workmates a handlers’ fee and Jaz and Gina have swapped a night on the town for a picnic with mates. Meanwhile, Sam is banning mobile phones from work meetings and fining colleagues who don’t comply.
The crew is doing all this to help Bring it to the Table for Alzheimer’s Australia Victoria.
This June, members of the community are being encouraged to host their very own ‘get together with a difference’, while raising much needed funds to support the estimated 76.000 people living with dementia in Victoria.

Bring it to the Table provides an opportunity for communities to join together, have fun and enjoy delicious food while talking about dementia and raising awareness about Alzheimer’s Australia Victoria and the services available.
“With the prevalence of dementia projected to increase to 132,000 by 2020, we need to be able to not only continue to provide these services but to prepare for an increase in the community’s needs and the services that will be needed in the coming years,” Maree McCabe, Alzheimer’s Australia Victoria chief executive, said.
“We are calling on people throughout Victoria to get behind this initiative, host an event, have some fun, be socially connected and engaged and get talking about dementia. Alzheimer’s Australia Victoria’s services provide crucial support for people living with dementia and for carers.”
Events can be hosted at any time during the month and at any location, whether that be at home, at work, at school, at a community group or even at the local park. Hosts will invite friends, family and colleagues to join them for a high tea, sit down dinner, picnic or games night.
All guests will be invited to make donations which will be used to fund vital services for people living with dementia, their families and carers.
