Better support for carers report to be released on 1 May and webcast live

The House of Representatives Family Committee will publicly launch the report of its inquiry into better support for carers at noon on Friday 1 May at Parliament House, Canberra.

“The inquiry has generated tremendous interest, with the Committee receiving over 1300 submissions,” said Committee Chair, Annette Ellis MP (Member for Canberra).

“The vast majority of these submissions have come from individual carers, who with great candour and generosity of spirit have shared their personal stories”.

Copies of the report will be available at the launch, and following the launch from the Committee’s webpage at http://www.aph.gov.au/

The press conference will be webcast live at http://webcast.aph.gov.au/livebroadcasting/
