Better support for carers

Posted
by DPS

The House of Representatives will conduct an inquiry into how to better meet the needs of carers.

The National Seniors Association is keen to hear from anyone who would like to share their personal experience of caring or have recommendations on how the Government can better support carers, particularly in the area of how carers can  be better recognised.

The inquiry will also examine  barriers to social and economic participation; practical measures to better support carers; and strategies so carers can access the same range of opportunities and choices as the wider community. This includes strategies to increase carers’ capacity to make choices within their caring roles and transition into and out of caring.
