Australian of the Year- Vic, SA and ACT winners
As Australia Day approaches, the year-long search for the most inspirational Australians is drawing to a close.
Victoria, South Australia and the ACT have awarded recipients for their respective state/territory stage of the awards.
The Senior Australian of the Year for Victoria is entrepreneur and philanthropist, Pat LaManna.
The winner from the ACT is Reverend Associate Professor Elizabeth MacKinlay, and football legend John Halbert won the senior category in South Australia.
Other states and the Northern Territory have not released the finalists yet.
Shortlisted candidates for Australian of Year include Indigenous community worker Ivan Copley, Indigenous leader Michael Dodson and African-Australian community leader Dr Berhan Ahmed.
