The organisation is committed to ensuring a focus on quality of life and supporting our residents feel safe and comfortable. Adria Care provides accommodation for 40 permanent residents and another two rooms for respite care. Twelve permanent places are located in the special care unit. All rooms are single and private and have their own ensuite bathroom facilities. The Village has very high cleaning standards and provides laundry services on-site for our residents. Meals are cooked fresh daily on-site and Adria provides a variety of breakfasts, lunches and dinners, as well as morning and afternoon tea. As part of our care practice we accommodate residents’ dietary needs as well as including them in meal choice and menu planning. The Stirling village also has 36 established independent living units. Our philosophy is to provide the highest quality of care to the aged care person of any nationality, providing them assistance to live with dignity & as independently as possible.Residents are invited to take part in a variety of activities on a cultural, social and religious basis within the Village atmosphere. Residents are able to enjoy going on excursions around Canberra to places such as the zoo, art gallery, lookouts, museums and on shopping trips. On the aged care home block, the buildings are designed to provide a homey and natural atmosphere so that residents can maintain their individuality, privacy and dignity. Residents are accommodated in single rooms with ensuites and have access to multiple gardens, multiple lounges, a cinema, and a kiosk.Here we aim to provide all levels of care, including dementia and palliative care, to our residents so that, as far as possible, there is no need for them to move to any other facility. Staff are also rostered over a 24-hour period to provide personal care, all meals and laundry. Residents are encouraged to maintain their independence and contribute to the life of the village. A regular, varied and extensive activity program is offered including bus outings and participation in community events. Additional services include: Hairdresser, Chaplain, weekly church services, kiosk, and medical services including physiotherapy, podiatry and visiting General Practitioners.
