We pride ourselves on genuine quality care for all clients and residents. At Donwood we have a team of professionals, nursing and ancilliary staff, who take an active interest in the running of the facility as well as ensuring individualised care needs for all residents are met. AccommodationDonwood has a total of 105 beds, comprising of single rooms with their own ensuites . All single rooms are spacious, light filled, with an outlook to gardens or decked areas. As part of our 105 beds we have a 30 bed memory support unit where residents have access to large open areas and gardens. We have many lounge areas around the facility for residents and families comfort.  Our new administration area houses a café and large function room for residents and visitors enjoyment.Community CentreThe Donwood Community Centre is designed for individuals who live at home by themselves or with a carer(s), but would like to participate in outside activities. It offers individuals an opportunity for social interaction involving activities that promote mental and physical stimulation as well as access to an outpatient physiotherapy clinic.RespiteRespite accommodation is offered to individuals living at home with their carer(s) or by themselves and feeling they need a ‘break’. Welcome to Blue Willows Residential Aged Care Village Facility Managed by Division 1 Nurse Blue Willows Residential Aged Care Residence: thirty six standard rooms with private ensuites sixteen large rooms with private ensuites  three suites comprising lounge room and kitchenette plus an adjoining large bedroom room with private ensuite. The suites are able to accommodate couples as well as individuals.  No Accommodation Bonds are applicable. Blue Willows Residential Aged Care residence provides permanent as well as short term and extended respite residential care 24 hours, seven days a week. Permanent Residential Care at Blue WillowsFees start at $740 per week. This fee includes residential accommodation, all personal care needs, meals, laundry and in house activities. Short Term Residential Care at Blue Willows: there is convalescent care for the resident after leaving hospital there is respite care for the resident leaving home and allowing a Carer to take a break. The following organisations fully or partly fund convalescent and respite stays at Blue Willows. Fully funded short term staysDepartment of Veterans' Affairs gold card holders are entitled to apply for: three weeks fully funded convalescent care for residents leaving hospital. four weeks fully funded respite care which enables Carers to have a break. The Willows Supportive Care Village - ILUsTwenty unique independent living villa units (with own land title) with 24 hour emergency call bell facilities to the adjacent Blue Willows aged care residence for immediate personal care support in case of emergencies.  Emergency care support what does this mean?Emergency care support means a personal carer will go to the unit and provide immediate care with one of our Div 1 nurses also providing support either on site or by telephone depending on the emergency circumstance. Nominated family member will also be notified promptly of any concerns. LifestyleResidents value their independence and privacy but many enjoy the free of charge social life available to them within the Village. The Village Activities Coordinator organises weekly happy hours with live entertainment which incorporate celebrating special events throughout the year. Other activities include Tai Chi, bingo, word games, arts and craft, social club and the free Internet Kiosk for residents to access the internet. Visiting personal Hairdressers, Podiatrist and Physiotherapist are also available via bookings and at a reasonable cost. Weekly owners corporation fee of $57 covers building insurance and maintenance of each units exterior, common gardens, rubbish bin collection, emergency buzzers and smoke detector back up battery replacements and the daily administration management. Our maintenance person will carry out small maintenance jobs including changing light globes.
