Funded by the Department of Health and Aged Care, the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS) - Home Care (one-to-one) and Residential Care (one-to-one and groups) - helps to establish links between people living in aged care facilities, their homes and their community. The fundamental objective is to improve the quality of life of residents and people living in their own homes who have limited family and social contact and who may be at risk of isolation from the general community for social cultural reasons, including disability.
