Adria Care is known as one of Canberra’s best aged care facilities and it is located in the south side suburb of Stirling. Established in 1994, the Village has accommodated many elderly people from Canberra and the surrounding districts that require permanent care, supported dementia care and respite accommodation. The Village is a 24 hour facility that operates to a very high standard of care. The organisation is committed to ensuring a focus on quality of life and supporting our residents feel safe and comfortable. Adria Care provides accommodation for 40 permanent residents and another two rooms for respite care. Twelve permanent places are located in the special care unit. All rooms are single and private and have their own ensuite bathroom facilities. The Village has very high cleaning standards and provides laundry services on-site for our residents. Meals are cooked fresh daily on-site and Adria provides a variety of breakfasts, lunches and dinners, as well as morning and afternoon tea. As part of our care practice we accommodate residents’ dietary needs as well as including them in meal choice and menu planning. The Stirling village also has 36 established independent living units. Our philosophy is to provide the highest quality of care to the aged care person of any nationality, providing them assistance to live with dignity & as independently as possible.Residents are invited to take part in a variety of activities on a cultural, social and religious basis within the Village atmosphere. Residents are able to enjoy going on excursions around Canberra to places such as the zoo, art gallery, lookouts, museums and on shopping trips. Many also enjoy the in-house activities such as arts and crafts, bingo, birthday celebrations, mobile library, playing board games and doing puzzles.Adria has a Registered Nurse on duty at all times who is supported by a multi-disciplinary team of health care professionals including general practitioners, nurse practitioners, physiotherapists, podiatrists, dieticians and others as assessed as required. An in-house hairdresser and barber provide services such as cuts, colours and styles. The Village has a chapel where residents of any religion have the right to worship. Presbyterian Aged Care Canberra St Andrew's Village is a place of warmth, friendliness and tranquility providing high quality care based on the Christian principles of love & care for each individual. Our village currently comprises 30 self care townhouses which comprise the retirement units section, and in the aged care home 176 low level care rooms (including 40 dementia specific) and four respite rooms. We are now offering respite in our day centre, funded by the Australian Government, through the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP), and home care packages subsidised by the government also.  On the retirement living block we have two and three-bedroom townhouses, all of which have a courtyard, laundry, ensuite and a fully equipped kitchen. Most have internal access from the garage. On the aged care home block, the buildings are designed to provide a homey and natural atmosphere so that residents can maintain their individuality, privacy and dignity. Residents are accommodated in single rooms with ensuites and have access to multiple gardens, multiple lounges, a cinema, and a kiosk.Here we aim to provide all levels of care, including dementia and palliative care, to our residents so that, as far as possible, there is no need for them to move to any other facility. Staff are also rostered over a 24-hour period to provide personal care, all meals and laundry. Residents are encouraged to maintain their independence and contribute to the life of the village. A regular, varied and extensive activity program is offered including bus outings and participation in community events. Our Residential Care Home at Stirling is located in the suburb of Stirling, Stirling, Weston Creek, surrounded by schools and sports playing ovals and just 15 minutes’ drive from Canberra’s CBD. Fully accredited, our home is designed on two levels with air-conditioned common areas, arts and crafts room, and library with internet access and a hair salon. Our Residential Care home at Calwell is located in Canberra, surrounded by the rolling green hills of Tuggeranong Valley. A modern home, set within a quiet residential care and located 250m from Calwell shopping centre and 450m to the Calwell Club, it is a convenient place to call home. There are air-conditioned common areas and library, and even a hair salon. Outdoors consist of landscaped gardens and courtyard with BBQ area, perfect for entertaining family and friends.

Fred Ward Gardens is a living community for 115 seniors who seek any level of residential care, requiring medical/rehabilitative and restorative care .With around-the-clock presence of nurses and care assistants, the level of care a person receives is dependent on what is required to maintain his or her normal activities and includes assistance with daily living. The living spaces include wide halls, handrails, and nursing centres. Residents live in single rooms with ensuites and share community rooms for planned daily activities, socials and dining. Meals are prepared for individual dietary needs.
