Set in a delightful semi-rural area just 25 minutes from the city centre, the home commands sweeping views of the surrounding mountains and Derwent River. Wellington Views is designed around a cul-de-sac with ten houses, each with seven large private bedrooms, walk-in robes and ensuite bathrooms. Each house also has a kitchen and dining area, and some houses include a spacious lounge room and rooms have direct access to the adjoining gardens. A large central recreational building enables residents to enjoy a range of leisure and lifestyle activities including the hairdressing salon and library. Covered walkways link all areas for easy access. Beyond our standard care offerings, further services accommodate specific needs of residents. Dedicated specialists like physiotherapists, podiatrists and optometrists are available upon request and make frequent visits. Hairdressers come in weekly and are available by appointment.  Food & Diet Both a full-time and part-time chef ensure that healthy and balanced meal choices are always available and prepared on-site. Meals can also be tailored to fit any dietary requirements. The menu is rotated seasonally. Fresh food arrives throughout the week and is provided locally through the Oscar Hospitality Program. Activities & Excursions A lifestyle and leisure team organises activities that happen 7 days a week. This is something that isn’t often found in other aged care facilities. Outings for lunch or just a drive are encouraged, especially if residents’ family would like to take them. Once a month, transportation is hired to accommodate a larger number of people for excursions nearby. On Fridays, there’s Happy Hour with music in the afternoon.
