Overview
mecwacare is a recognised leader of in-home nursing and care services. Many of these services are available through our Home Care Packages program, which is a coordinated package of care and services that support older people to live independently in their own home for as long as possible.
To be approved for a Home Care Package, you must be assessed, approved and assigned by Aged Care Assessment Services (ACAS) and My Aged Care. You can be referred to ACAS through My Aged Care or by your GP, hospital or healthcare professional. You may also refer yourself by calling 1800200422.

Mecwacare have recently taken over our home care services from our local council and we are 5 weeks into the new contract and Mecwacare have failed to deliver 60% of our contracted service , 3/5 visits they have failed to deliver!
The 2 services that they have facilitated have been good however a 60% fail rate when you at talking about home care services is shockingly substandard and I am sure that we aren’t the only users being impacted!
Something needs to be done urgently to address this!
