About
IHCS provides nursing, personal care, home help and handyman services to many clients across Southern Tasmania and the Launceston and Hobart areas.
The programs IHCS services include DVA Nursing, Veterans Home Care, Disability Program, Consumer Directed Care and Home Care Packages. In addition, IHCS can provide services on a private basis, and through an agreement with other organisations.
Independent Health Care Service was established in 1992 by a small group of nurses. They identified that there were many people living in the community with unmet care needs.
- Handyman services include gardening, window cleaning, gutter cleaning and household repairs
- Personal care to help you around your home and values your choice to live at home. Independent Health Care Service makes this possible by combining the skills of specially selected Registered Nurses and practical Home Care Assistants.
Planning for the services includes working with you and helping you to make choices about the types of care and services you would like to have, who will deliver those services and when the services will be delivered.
Clinical care including nursing, allied health and therapy services such as speech therapy, podiatry, occupational or physiotherapy services which may include referrals to health practitioners and service providers.
