Community Based Support Home Care Packages
About
Community Based Support is a Tasmanian, not-for-profit organisation that has been supporting people to remain living independently at home since 1988.
Community Based Support provides a wide range of services, including all levels of Home Care Packages.
Home Care Packages are provided on a consumer-directed care basis, which means we work with you to coordinate services that are tailored to meet your individual care needs. At Community Based Support you will receive information about the package funding, including an individualised budget and detailed monthly statements. This really puts you, the client, in the driving seat.
Right from the very beginning, we will work with you. We will assist you with registering with My Aged Care for support services right through to the implementation of the care plan.

Why should you choose Community Based Support?
Every single person, without exception, who works for Community Based Support has undergone and passed a “Working with vulnerable people check”. All staff have also signed a confidentiality agreement which means that personal information, including the support received at home or in the community, is kept in confidence. And that’s just the beginning of the good news.
As part of Community Based Support's ongoing commitment to both quality services and professional development of all its staff, all support workers are required to hold a minimum ‘Certificate III in Individual Support’. We have a large number of staff who hold specialised qualifications above this level which assists us in providing you with the right support at the right time.
If you would like to talk to someone about fees and charges, or if you would just like to have a chat about how this all works, please call CBS and speak to our Aged Care Team on 1300 227 827 or visit our website at www.cbsaust.org.au
