About
The Aged Rights Advocacy Service is a free, confidential, statewide service supporting older people since 1990.
ARAS assists older people or their legal representatives who are:
- living in residential aged care or retirement village
- receiving home care services
- at risk of or experiencing abuse from family or friends.
ARAS has specialist Aboriginal Advocates who can provide culturally appropriate support.
ARAS Navigator Specialists can help connect older Australians with My Aged Care.
ARAS's Home Care Check-in service can assist older people experiencing social isolation and loneliness to develop social connections in their community.
