Wintringham Williamstown Hostel provides high quality accommodation and support to 60 older men and women who are 50 years and over. We welcome people from the Williamstown community as well as those from a financially disadvantaged background.
Our hostel is located in Williamstown nine kilometres south-west of Melbourne's CBD. It is 1.3 kilometres from Williamstown North Train station, within 500 metres to Kororoit Creek Road shops, and two kilometres from Williamstown’s main town of Nelson Place.
Set in a quiet, landscaped garden surround, each resident has a large private bed-sitting room, ensuite and kitchenette. All units have their own external entrance and garden area with veranda giving residents extra space to enjoy. It also boasts two lounges and a dining room for the shared use of residents which encourages a friendly and community approach to the space and design.
Providing a safe, flexible and caring family-style environment it allows residents to maintain their chosen lifestyles, habits and activities and to be as independent as they choose to be. We promote independence with everyday activities and create social opportunities through our recreation program that caters the individual wishes of each resident. This includes many outings outside of the hostel.
Our team of Registered and Enrolled Nurses, and Personal Care Attendants deliver consistent and personalised care 24 hours a day, maximising health and well-being outcomes, whilst respecting the choices and values of individuals.
The range of services available includes the provision of all meals and refreshments, cleaning and maintenance, laundry and linen services, assistance with personal hygiene and daily living activities, on-site hairdressing salon, assistance with medication and treatments, access to a range of health services including podiatry and nursing care and short term respite care.
