Vasey RSL Care Bundoora Welcomes You
Vasey RSL Care Bundoora is part of the Vasey RSL Care organisation and we have a proud history of supporting veterans and war widows, as well as the general public.
Vasey RSL Care Bundoora is close to the Mt Cooper Estate in Bundoora in a quiet cul-de-sac with views north to the edge of Melbourne.
Our residents share many traditional Australian values – sincerity, humour, mate-ship, perseverance, generosity, courage and a larrikin spirit – values bred through a lifetime of living and working in this great country.
Our staff offer person-centred care that respects and supports the wishes of the individual: we are here to help you maintain your health, happiness and well-being: we believe in discovering what matters to you and what makes you unique.
About Vasey RSL Care
Vasey RSL Care is a not-for-profit organisation with five residential aged care homes. Our organisation is large enough to have economies of scale (such as centralised administration), but small enough to retain a personal touch and stay close to everyone in our community.
Our organisation was founded to support veterans from World War I and war widows from World War II. These beginnings have influenced every aspect of our organisation and continue to do so. Around two thirds of our residents have a background with the Australian Defence Forces, or are the widows of ex-service personnel (sometimes both).
The other third of our residents are from the general public.

Every Vasey RSL Care Home is Unique
Vasey RSL Care Bundoora has all the things you’d expect in your home – good home-made food, regular cleaning, laundry service, health services, comfortable and cosy sitting rooms and an extensive lifestyle program.
But what makes it unique is the community of residents, staff and volunteers, and our links to the wider community – personnel from Simpson Barracks, the local RSL and schools in the area, such as Parade College, Catholic Ladies College, Loyola College and Viewbank Early Childhood Centre.
And as well as having people come to us, we get out and about using our own bus, visiting a variety of local cafes for lunch, and further afield, with visits to Werribee Zoo, Toolangi and the Dandenongs as examples of typical outings.
In all we do, we aim for excellence in aged care.
