About

Uniting AgeWell’s dynamic social support programs seek to encourage independence, focus on choice, create friendships, reduce isolation and cultivate strong connection to the community.

We actively work with you to connect you to your passions and interests, while promoting daily living skills and social interaction to maintain a healthy and happy lifestyle.

Our flexible social and leisure activities are tailored to support individual needs with a focus on positive ageing, including art therapy, craft, cooking, gardening, mens' sheds music therapy, singing, dancing, movement, memory support and community outings.

Uniting AgeWell has developed a dementia-friendly social support checklist in conjunction with Barwon South West Department of Health and Human Services, to ensure people living with dementia can experience social support programs that reduce the effects of dementia and increase opportunities for meaningful participation.

In addition, we offer a vibrant activity group for people in the Geelong region with younger onset dementia. The Hello Monday group supports people to keep active and connected in their community.

Uniting AgeWell receives funding from the Department of Health and the Commonwealth Home Support Program to provide planned activity groups for eligible seniors living in the community.

To find out what social supports are available in your area, contact a centre near you or call the Uniting AgeWell team on (03)7503 7200.
