The Carers (est.1989) is a boutique family business providing a complete range of home care services designed to support and meet the needs of the older members of our community.

Our experienced team works closely together to provide the best possible experience for each of our individual clients, whilst delivering the necessary services to support their life choices.

We can assist clients in developing capacity to regain confidence and improve their physical abilities to maintain their independence. Our proactive approach is to work together with our clients encouraging wellness and re-enablement to achieve their personal goals and add to each person’s quality of life.

We work with our clients and their families to place the maximum decision making in their hands while assisting with organising and monitoring all aspects of their care and services through case management.

The Carers staff are trained and are committed to working with clients and their families to deliver the care and services tailored to their individual needs. We ensure they have access to information so they are able to make the most suitable choices for their life.

We work collaboratively with dementia specialist Care Partnerships Australia to support our client, their family and our staff.

Services We Provide:

Wellness and Reablement Services – assist you to regain confidence & develop capacity to improve your physical abilities.

Case Management – assist with organising and monitoring all aspects of care and services

Clinical Care & Support – Medication Management, Wound Care, Stoma & Catheter Care, Continence Management

Respite – providing care so the primary carer can have time out - available both in and out of home

Dementia Care– partnering to make the best choices in care & services

Food Services – preparing, reheating & plating up a meal, meal preparation - catering to any special dietary requirements

Social Support – organise & assist clients to pursue their interests and hobbies

Allied Health – organise Podiatry, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy. Care staff assist with programs as required.

Personal Care – assist dressing, showering, toileting & grooming

Companionship – spending time with a person at home, taking them out or visiting at a residential facility

Shopping – including supervised banking & bill paying

Transport – to & from client appointments or other outings

Domestic Assistance – cleaning to maintain the hygiene of the home

The Carers has over 30 years’ experience delivering personalised, flexible and effective home care. The Carers is committed to the Aged Care Standards with the Wellness and Re-enablement model for aged care emphasises respect for personal responsibility, whilst providing support that is compassionate, innovative and flexible.

The Carers is an Approved Provider for the Australian Government (Home Care Package Levels 1-4) and for the Department of Veteran Affairs (Veteran’s Home Care & Community Nursing) and private services.
