Thelma celebrates 100 years!

We celebrate Thelma’s 100th birthday!

Mrs George is looking forward to receiving a pile of mail, including letters from Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Governor General Quentin Bryce and Prime Minister Tony Abbot.

She joined the family at BlueCross Springfield in 1997 as a volunteer assisting with various lifestyle programs and providing company to the residents.

When she entered BlueCross Springfield as a resident she felt she was ‘stepping into a home full of friends’.

Marg Alexander, BlueCross Springfield residence manager, said: “Thelma is a loving and generous resident who has endeared herself to all of us at BlueCross Springfield.”

Ms Alexander added: “We have a strong volunteering program in place with the Box Hill community.

“It is always rewarding to celebrate these milestones, with residents such as Thelma, who been a part of our family and involved with our residence in different ways across a number of years.”

BlueCross Springfield is a 50 bed modern aged care residence with a strong community and volunteer program.
