Benetas Multi-million dollar expansion continues at Traralgon retirement village

Stage two of a $22.5 million expansion of Dalkeith Heights Independent Living in Traralgon started this week, with 37 new units set to be built along with major civil upgrades to the site.

The development, which represents a $10 million investment, is part of Benetas’ commitment to meeting the needs of the local community by providing modern, contemporary housing options.

Benetas General Manager Strategy, Infrastructure and Housing, Chris Karagiannis, says the growth of Dalkeith Heights was a priority for the business.

“Benetas is very proud to be a part of the Gippsland community, and we want to make sure we’re delivering the services that local residents want,” says Mr Karagiannis.

“Since we merged with Grace Bruce, former operator of Dalkeith Heights, we’ve continually invested in Dalkeith’s development, committing to build an additional 46 units taking the facility up to 120.

“With nine already complete as part of stage one, we’re now focused on the remaining 37.”

Mr Karagiannis says that Benetas’ extensive suite of Gippsland-based aged care services, including home care and residential aged care, provided residents with an integrated and holistic approach to their health and wellbeing.

“Residents can enjoy their lives at Dalkeith Heights, knowing high-quality support is just around the corner if they need an extra hand.”

Civil upgrades will see extensive work carried out on Dalkeith’s roads, services and landscaping, and along with the new units, will be complete by mid 2017.

Stage three will then commence, with the development of approximately 30 units, including a proposed expansion of the residential aged care facility on the site.
