Accreditation and Quality Care
Lulworth House is classified as extra service which denotes the provision of superior accommodation, cuisine, activities, therapy and support services. This entitles the facility to charge extra service fees.
Lulworth has been designed to comply with government standards for extra service residential aged care buildings and quality of care including all standards required for accreditation under the Aged Care Act 1997. The buildings have also been designed to comply with the published privacy & space require- ments under the Aged Care Certification Instrument for 2008.
The focus of diverse activity programs at Lulworth is to give each resident a choice of regular activities to attend, either individually or in small groups. Activities include concerts with guest entertainers, craft, art, reminiscing, sing-a-long happy hour, music therapy, pet therapy, individual sensory sessions, exercise classes, coffee mornings, and appropriate group outings in St Luke’s air-conditioned bus.
A special feature of our activities program is a special relaxation therapy. This is a concept of sensory stimulation and relaxation which provides new ways of encouraging interaction and motivation from residents.
