About:
Senior Helpers Far North Queensland’s newest office is operated by a team of staff experienced in home care and Government-funded services. Senior Helpers utilise an internationally acclaimed dementia training program that is unique in its positive approach. Our staff focus on the skills and abilities that remain in clients who have developed dementia, while respecting the abilities that they have lost. We also have purpose designed Parkinson’s Care and Multiple Sclerosis Care Programs that our staff can offer more informed support.
From a single hour to 24-hour support, we offer personalised services at times of a client’s choice. Our Clinical Services Consultants are happy to come to you for a no-obligation discussion regarding your care and support options.

Specialty Care
Our team of dementia-certified staff are specifically trained to ensure that persons experiencing dementia receive the right type of support, in ways that will allow them to live a rich and purposeful life, day by day.
Staff trained in our Parkinson’s Care program will understand how to assist when necessary, when to stop and listen and how to evaluate the environment to prevent falls. A deeper understanding of how Multiple Sclerosis affects individuals allows our trained staff to support clients on their good and not so good days.
When families are out of town, our Wellness Watch program offers companionship to older clients or those that are housebound with a weekly or bi-weekly visitor. Companionship reduces loneliness and offers family peace of mind, knowing someone will drop by and ensure that their loved one is OK.
